Office Design and Urban Infill, Catherine Street, Limerick, 2007
The urban infill development consists of 5,242m² of Commercial accommodation over six floors and 110 basement car parking spaces. This infill design is located within the conservation area and includes a number of proposed protected structures. Respect has been shown to the surrounding Georgian Buildings in terms of scale, tone, colour and rhythm.
The building is arranged around a free-flowing courtyard which has a brighter, lighter elevational treatment. The courtyard is enlivened by the two entrances and lift cores to the building are accessed from the space. The street edge is enlivened by the inclusion of two retail units which respond to the growing trend of cafes along the Street.
