The building concept was to make a simple building as simply as possible to allow the children to understand the elements of architecture.

The building received a RIAI award and is featured in the in June 2003 edition of The Irish Architect. The school is very happy with the building and the children enjoy using the building as a meeting place or just somewhere to hang out.
